Circle Unchained is a backup tool, not a piracy tool. It only works on content you already have paid, legitimate access to — it can't bypass paywalls, doesn't share content between accounts, and doesn't enable redistribution. Is my data private?＋
Completely. Everything happens locally in your browser — we never see, store, or upload your content, your account, or the communities you're in. There's no server in the middle. Your library is yours, on your machine.
I'm a course creator. Should I be worried?＋
The opposite, we'd argue. Does it work on custom Circle.so domains?＋
Yes. Circle Unchained automatically detects Circle communities running on custom domains (like learn.yourcommunity.com), in addition to *.circle.so URLs.
What about YouTube videos embedded in lessons?＋
We detect YouTube embeds and surface them for one-click open. We do not download YouTube directly — YouTube's Terms of Service prohibit it and we respect that. Use YouTube Premium for offline viewing of those specific videos.
What if I hit my 5 free download limit?＋
