Privacy Policy

Summary

Circle Unchained is built local-first. The Extension does its work entirely inside your browser. We do not log, store, or transmit the URLs of pages you scan, the videos you download, or the contents of any community you belong to.

1. What the Extension Accesses

To detect and download media, the Extension reads the DOM and network requests of tabs you explicitly open on Circle.so and supported video providers. This processing happens locally in your browser. Detected media is downloaded directly from the host's servers to your device.

• No browsing history is uploaded to our servers.
• No video URLs, titles, or community names are sent to us.
• No analytics or telemetry is collected from inside the Extension.

2. What We Do Collect (Site & Licensing)

When you purchase a license or create an account on circleunchained.app, we collect:

• Email address — to deliver your license key and account-related notices.
• License key activation data — the key, activation timestamp, and a hashed device identifier so the same key isn't shared across unlimited machines.
• Payment metadata — handled by our payment processor (Stripe). We do not store your full card details.

3. Third-Party Processors

• Stripe — payment processing.
• Lovable Cloud / Supabase — backend hosting for the licensing system.
• Cloudflare — site delivery and DDoS protection.

Each processor maintains its own privacy policy.

4. Cookies

The Site uses only essential cookies for authentication and session management. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

5. Your Rights (GDPR / CCPA)

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your account data at any time by emailing privacy@circleunchained.app. Deleting your account will revoke all associated licenses.

6. Data Retention

Account and licensing data is kept for as long as your account is active, plus up to 24 months for tax/accounting and fraud-prevention purposes.

7. Children

The Extension and Site are not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.

8. Changes

If this policy changes materially, we will update the "Last updated" date and, where required, notify license holders by email.
